Welcome

Welcome to the Kindred Spirits Day School, a one-of-a-kind educational experience for children in Kindergarten to Grade 8. Our school practices a unique approach to teaching, that blends the best elements of the Reggio Emilia, Waldorf and Montessori teaching philosophies with the care and attention of a homeschooling environment. This provides us with the ability to quickly adapt to the changing needs of children today, and empower them daily in their individual learning journeys.

 

Our goal is simple, to create an inspirational, safe and conscious learning environment that

fosters the unique gifts of each student.

Our Philosophy

Our approach to education blends the Reggio Emilia, Waldorf, Montessori and Forest school teaching philosophies, with a focus on creating an environment that stimulates both learning and inquiry, encouraging each child to learn and grow at their own pace.

The concept around inquiry-based learning is to follow the interests of the child within the classroom, acknowledging their need for play-based, child-directed learning experiences.

We strongly believe in our connectedness with nature, and work to incorporate nature into our daily rhythm, fostering a deeper sense of self and community with the Earth.
